Home Espresso Coffee Makers
Producing a rich full-flavored cup of coffee at home has never been simpler, thanks to the many manufacturers offering a home espresso maker. Is your morning coffee beginning to lose its edge? Are you ready to try a home espresso maker? There are now many brands of espresso coffee maker available for home use.
The Indians of South America first discovered the coffee bean well before the discovery of the New World. Its invigorating properties helped them deal with high altitudes and became very popular. The arrival of the Spanish conquistadors led to the bean finding its way into western culture and history. When the Spanish discovered the New World they were searching for cities of gold, instead they discovered vast resources and new produce to take back to Europe to trade.
Chocolate, tobacco, and coffee were swiftly embraced across the continent. Seemingly overnight coffee houses sprang up, serving coffee beverages hot with a side dish of politics or gossip. The coffee houses became venues for people to gather and discuss the events of the day. This was, of course, a pastime for the rich and idle who had the time to sit around and enjoy themselves in this fashion.
Make Mine A Super
Today, the espresso coffee maker is available in many configurations from small, single-cup units to high-end and high-priced imports better suited for busy coffee shops than a home kitchen. Technically, the machines range from piston operated models that offer a “throw-back” feel of the old world coffee house all the way up to super automatic models that essentially do everything, even cleaning, at the touch of a button. Given our time-starved lifestyles, it is not surprising that the fastest growing category amongst the espresso coffee makers on offer is the super-automatic machine.
Picture a machine that at the touch of a button grinds the beans, tamps them, brews the coffee, dumps the leftover grinds and even froths the milk. As far as the espresso coffee maker goes, the super-automatic is the pinnacle of innovation that is gaining worldwide acceptance for ease of use and quality of coffee. Of course such innovation doesn’t come cheaply. Many machines in the super automated class can cost thousands of dollars but for the true coffee lover with a big budget there is no easier way to get a great cup of coffee quickly and easily.
